
Remember Your AMC's
I’ve always been interested in what makes people like Mark successful. What traits or attributes do they possess that help them reach their full potential? When I owned Century 21, I observed that 20 percent of the realtors did most of the selling. We decided to ask them what they felt the most successful people they knew had in common. These three attributes emerged:
Attitude — top performers have very positive, can-do attitudes
Motivation — top performers are self-motivated
Commitment — top performers make commitments and keep them
These three character traits resonated with me. I call them my AMCs and I have used them for years to recruit, advise and mentor people. I truly feel that if you don’t get your AMCs in order you have a good possibility of failing in whatever you are trying to do.
