Fraserview Boys' and Girls' Club Welcomes Bigsbee

Bigsbee, along with his good buddy Jennifer Carroll, made a big buzz at the Boys' and Girls' Club in Vancouver last Friday. Thirty-five kids got to learn all about bee-coming all they could bee, and even got burgers afterward!

Vancouver-ho!

Another successful LifePilot workshop unfolded this past Saturday, and I think it was perhaps the smoothest workshop ever. But then, it was the first one where I was the on-site coordinator, so perhaps I'm a little biased... Nevertheless, I'd like to say a big thank-you to Andrea Stuart of the Wosk Centre for all her excellent support, and to our Vice-President Chris, who aged himself ten years in three days making sure that Bigsbee showed up as scheduled. Kudos to all!

Being Committed

If you want to really get the most out of your experiences, you have to be more than just involved: you have to be committed. Our Vice-President, Chris Smith, has a good analogy to explain the difference between being involved and being committed: bacon and eggs.

Consider bacon and eggs. The chicken is involved... but the pig is committed.

Chris thought it was funny, anyway.

Peter's Pick for Summer Reading

Now that summer's here, most of us are going to have a chance to kick back and enjoy a good book. My recommendation is "Caine and Abel" by Jeffrey Archer - it was written in 1979 but its lessons are still relevant today. Look for it in used book stores or on-line at sites such as Amazon or AbeBooks.
