Success,
whether it's about realizing a business vision, reaching the
pinnacle of wealth and career achievement, or a gauge of your
personal happiness; where does success begin, where does it lead? How
do you measure it in a way that's relevant and meaningful?
It's a
question worth thinking about. After all, some of the most successful
people – considered so in others opinions, would instead say
their life and work is a disappointment – by their terms judge
'success' as failure. And people that others might not
consider successful are completely content right where they are. So
what's the difference? It's how we perceive goals, how we
set them and whether we align them with our idea of success –
our ideal hopes and vision.

A Values Model
As you set your
goals and focus on them, reflect upon your life—the past
you've led and the future you envision. What moments have been
rewarding? Or disappointing? What has remained important over time,
and what is most important to you now? What truly motivates and
inspires you. What gives you a feeling of success? Who are the people
who you care about the most? Of all of the things that you have now,
which could you give up? Which items, experiences and relationships
could you not live without? What values are important to you? What
values really drive you to succeed?

Stories from LifePilot Graduates
"LifePilot
has had a profound impact on my personal life. I have always had a
crystal clear company vision along with a set of shared company
values - but I've neglected to vision out my personal life
until now. LifePilot led and inspired me to create a personal vision
based on my core personal values. I now have a clear 'painted
picture' of the life I am going to make happen. What a
difference in my life!" -- Brian
Scudamore Young Presidents Organization Member Chairman,
