On the afternoon of Friday, January 2nd, I was sitting in the garden of the chalet in Lobos, Argentina. Since they are having their summer there, it was a very warm and pleasant afternoon. I was beginning to read the "Think and Grow Rich" book by Napoleon Hill which I had taken with me because it is referenced in several books I had read lately, including Life Manual. I was reading the chapter "Desire" when the phrase "definiteness of purpose" suddenly struck me, I had to stop reading. The epiphany was there, I took my paper block and started writing my Life Purpose. One hour later, not only did I have a first draft of it, I had also composed a prayer where I ask God to help me fulfill my Life Purpose and live in harmony with my Values. Even though I believe in God strongly, I am not the kind of person who goes to church often, nor writes prayers. I was really inspired at that moment, and now I proudly say my new prayer every day.

I had intentionally not taken my computer with me to the chalet as I really wanted to switch off. Everything I wrote was on my small paper block. When I finished reading all my work together, I noticed that I did not invent anything new. I knew my Life Purpose and my Values had always been with me, but I had not been conscious of them. LifeManual had helped put my Values into my conscious mind in a way, all structured, I had never seen them before. Suddenly I was looking at my life from a different perspective.

Two days later I was in Montevideo, Uruguay. It was a very warm and sunny afternoon and I was all by myself on the beach of Rio de la Plata, swimming and meditating. Suddenly, in my mind, I started talking with my mother who passed away in 1999. I immediately got out of the water, took my paper block and started writing a letter to her for over an hour. When, last week, I made a transcript of the letter from the block to my computer, it ended up being a four-page MS Word document.
