Stand Up for Your Life
Sometimes, you can be your our own worst enemy when it comes to making choices. Instead of focusing on the positive aspects of choice, it’s easy to wallow in self-defeating thoughts. You might expect others to be angry about your choices or worry about disappointing people. You might feel small in the face of opposition, or too embarrassed to make waves. Colin Powell, a man who has made many tough choices in his military career, wrote about how he used his power of choice to shape his destiny. “You can’t make someone else’s choices. You shouldn’t let someone else make yours.”
